Spermatech AS has together with Norsvin entered into a large-scale field-trial with our boar sperm activator. The first inseminations were performed in October 2019, at Stampen purkering in Ørje, and Næra purkering in Næra, Brøttum.
400+ sows will be included in the study, as we aim to demonstrate that our activator can increase the number of pigliets in litters thrown from sows inseminated with our activator-enhanced boar semen.
Data will be collected during the farrowing throughout the spring of 2020.
